Accommodation in Majuro, Marshall Islands

Majuro sea breeze

UPDATE APRIL 2025: I can see that this accommodation is not shown anymore on booking platform, but don't let it stop you from checking about it :). If you are already in Majuro, just ask people for Filipino woman named Mary, who has a salon. Booking: Easily done through booking platform. Mary was very responsive from the start, she is friendly, cheerful, and I think one of these people who shine the room when they enter. :)

Location: I think the location in super great! It is in the middle of the atoll, right next to the sea, and it is easy to reach anything (a lot of restaurants, bank, supermarket, hospital, airport, spot for tours…).

Coming from the airport: There is a taxi for about 8 usd. You need to ask the driver to take you to MIR (read in the section “check in” the details). If you want some very private transportation, not a public taxi, maybe you can ask the owner - I am sure she will help you if she can, but I believe it won’t be under 20 usd. If you stay longer than 2 weeks, you might get a free pickup.

Check in: When you reached MIR, don’t go to their reception/front desk because they have nothing to do with your accommodation and they might not be useful for you, but go to the spa (room 137, everyone knows where it is - ground floor (don’t climb the stairs), next to cars). After check in, you will be transported to your accommodation so you don’t have to struggle to find it. :)

Accommodation:

It was very clean in the area of rooms and bathroom. In the room you have everything you need - a working desk, a mirror, a bunk bed, a cupboard and a shelf, large space under the bed to put your luggage and a fan. The bed is a bit short for taller people. I would say that people up to 170 cm will be fine. It was silent during nights (also quite silent during the day time) but just in case - if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs (because there is a ventilation system near the ceiling and if other guests are loud, you can hear them. General rule is to stay silent after 10pm). The mattress and pillows are confortable.

There were no bugs, ants, mosquitos, or other bugs, which you might find in other accommodations. There is only one lovely cat in the area of the dinning room. It loves to be pet :).

The bathroom was always empty (well, that depends on people), and always clean. The shower has hot water 🤗.

There is a drinking water so you can refill your bottle whenever you want. I didn’t use, but I saw you have cooking facilities (place to cook + plates, bowls…).

Price: Excellent price in comparison to other accommodation options and considering the location.

Safety: Safe. No problems occurred. Keep the main door locked.

Renovation: In January 2025, part of the place is under renovation. As soon as it is constructed, it will have a beautiful view to the sea. I didn’t feel disturbed at all from construction - there was no any noise, and I saw that workers are working.
